Your Skin

Everyone wants beautiful clear skin on her wedding day. This articles will help you with some inexpensive ways to treat you skin and hopefully allow you to de-stress.

It all begins from within...WATER. On your face and in your body! Drink at least eight to ten glasses a day, water is the most inexpensive beauty treatment on Earth.

Nighttime is the most important time for skincare. When you sleep your face is away from makeup, dirt, and pollution, and its free to rejuvenate. And best treatment of all - BEAUTY SLEEP!

Your evening routine:
1. Cleanse - if you skin is dry use a lotion or cream based product. Normal to Oily use a gel cleanser or a mild facial soap. Even if our skin is very oily just use a gentle soap like Dove. Never use deodorant soap on your face or neck.
2. Exfoliate -
this is necessary to get blood flowing and to get rid of grime. Try using a packet of sugar with a couple of drops of olive oil and gently rub it into the crease of your face. Also try oatmeal mixed with a little bit of water.
3. Masks
- homemade masks are sometimes the best kind. Here are a few recipes to try:

Mayonnaise - Apply whole egg mayonnaise on your face (right from the jar) for about 20 minutes. Rinse with cool water.

Tomato - for oily skin, mash up a ripe tomato and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Banana - mash up a very ripe banana and add just enough honey to make a soft paste. Apply to face and hair. This is a great firming mask.

Honey - apply pure honey (straight form the bottle) to your face and neck. Allow it to dry about 15 minutes. Rinse with very warm water.

Pepto Bismol - use cotton ball to apply to face. Very cool and refreshing. For sensitive skin.

Cleansing
Stop over cleaning your skin. Your morning routine should be nothing more than reactivating last night's moisturizer with a splash of water or milk. Milk is a lactic acid and will allow your face to receive a natural acid treatment. Other natural acids include: Pineapple juice, lemon juice, and tomatoes.

Toning
This is the second step, and a very important one. It removes residue soap, moisturizer, and oil. You can carry around lemons like the models do. Lemons are refreshing and work better than more expensive alternatives. Other inexpensive options are: Rose water, Witch hazel, and Liquid boric acid. There is never a reason to rinse off toner.

Moisturizing
Apply your moisturizer when skin is damp, it helps seal in the water. A good basic moisturizer can be found at the local Wal-Mart or drug store. Look for these low cost ingredients: Lipids - listed as ceramides, cerebrosides, or sphingo lipids. Essential Fatty Acids - listed as sunflower oil, grapeseed oil, and primrose oil. Also look for a moisturizer with Sunscreen!!! The Sun is your Skins #1 enemy! Always use sun protection....the sun causes wrinkles, age spots, and rough skin. Crisco is a big beauty secret among the famous. Yes we are talking about the cooking grease! People use it to remove makeup as well as a high effective moisturizer. Buy vitamins E, A, or C in capsule form, prick open and apply directly to skin...saves money, without adding harsh chemicals found in some expensive moisturizers.
