Beauty DO's & DON'Ts
DO book consultations at least six months in advance.
DO consider the option of using hairpieces, they create height, volume and
versatility.
DO consider your gown and veil, make sure your stylist knows what you’ll be
wearing.
DO book a hair and makeup "rehearsal" two weeks before to the big day to confirm
last-minute changes.
DON'T schedule a facial during the week of the wedding. Facials should be
done 1 to 2 weeks before your wedding to avoid unwanted breakouts or redness.
DO schedule any facial waxing appointments at least 3-5 days before the wedding
date to prevent the occurrence of unwanted redness or irritation. DON'T wax too
close to the wedding date if it is your first time.
DO check the make up in natural light if you are having an outdoor wedding, to
ensure you are pleased with the look.
DO stay away from trendy looks. In a few years the photos will look
dated but a classic look never goes out of style.
DO schedule a hair cut. If you regularly color your hair, have it touched up
too. DON'T try something new or drastic too close to your wedding day.
If you do not get massages on a regular basis, DON'T schedule one too close to
the wedding date your muscles may be sore.
DO schedule a manicure and/or pedicure for the day before the wedding.
DON'T pick at any pimples or blemishes. Let your make up artist conceal them for
you.
DO tweeze stray eyebrows if needed the day before.
DON'T spend too much time in the sun. Sunburns, tan lines, and peeling are not
attractive.
DON'T skip meals to lose that last few pounds. You are going to need to keep
your energy level up.
DON'T forget to get enough sleep and continue your exercise routine.
DO drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and looking fresh.
DON’T forget your groom. If he’s not into hairstyling, maybe he’d like to relax
at a spa.
